You’ll have received a letter from My Aged Care confirming you now have 56 days to choose a Support at Home provider with your unique referral code.

Support at Home classifications
There are eight Support at Home funding classifications available, each offering different levels of support.

Classification 1 – Basic Support
Entry-level assistance to help with simple daily tasks and maintain independence at home.
Classification 2 – Low Care Needs
Support for those needing some ongoing help with personal care, household tasks, or transport.
Classification 3 – Moderate Care Needs
Designed for people requiring more regular assistance with daily activities and some clinical or allied health support.
Classification 4 – Increasing Care Needs
For those needing frequent support and coordination of multiple services to manage daily living and health needs.
Classification 5 – Intermediate Care Needs
Provides higher levels of personal, domestic, and clinical care for those with more complex or changing health requirements.
Classification 6 – Clinical and Personal Care
Supports individuals who need consistent nursing or allied health input, alongside personal and household assistance.
Classification 7 – High Care Needs
Comprehensive support for people requiring intensive daily care, regular clinical oversight, and specialised services.
Classification 8 – Complex or Comprehensive Support
The highest level of Support at Home, offering fully coordinated care for those with significant health, mobility, or personal care needs.

Additional funding pathways
In addition to the 8 ongoing classifications, 3 short-term pathways are available to help meet temporary or specialised care needs.
Short-term or specialised care pathways provide extra flexibility:
- Restorative Care – Up to 16 weeks for goal-focused support after illness, injury, or hospitalisation.
- End-of-Life Care – Up to 12 weeks of compassionate support for life-limiting conditions.
- Assistive Technology & Home Modifications (AT-HM) – Tiered funding for equipment or home modifications over 12 months.
These pathways complement your main Support at Home services, giving you more choice and independence.
