Write a Love Letter
Take part in a gentle, supportive session where you can write a heartfelt letter to or about someone special. With thoughtful guidance, you can express treasured memories, feelings and words you would like to share. There is no pressure to read your letter aloud—this is a personal opportunity to reflect, remember and connect.
Drawing
Anyone can learn to sketch! Spend an hour with our talented presenter and discover how simple shapes, shading and composition come together to create a drawing. In this relaxed, beginner-friendly session, you’ll be guided step by step to build your confidence and creativity.
Using your Tablet & Smartphone
Build confidence using your tablet or smartphone in this friendly, easy-to-follow session. Learn practical skills such as navigating your device, connecting to Wi-Fi, using apps, making video calls, taking photos and staying safe online. Beginners are welcome.
Cultural Groups & Days of Significance
Celebrate and learn about diverse cultures and significant days in this welcoming and inclusive session. Explore traditions through stories, food, music and dance, while discussing the importance of family, community and cultural identity.
Smartphone Photography
Build confidence using your smartphone camera in this friendly, practical series. Learn to compose and take better photos, make simple edits, organise your images, and share them safely with family and friends. Suitable for beginners; bring your charged smartphone.
Book Club
Join our friendly virtual Book Club each month to discover new stories and share the joy of reading. We’ll choose a book to enjoy before each session, then come together for a relaxed discussion about its characters, themes and favourite moments.
Trivia
Enjoy a fun and friendly virtual trivia session from the comfort of your own home. This light-hearted, social activity features two rounds of 15 questions covering familiar topics such as Australia, music, television, sport, food, history and general knowledge.
Bingo
Join us for a fun and friendly game of virtual Bingo from the comfort of your own home. Follow along as the numbers are called, mark your card and enjoy the excitement of completing a line or a full house. Players of all experience levels are welcome!
Card Making
Create personalised cards for birthdays, celebrations or simply keeping in touch. Learn easy techniques using paper, colour, stamps and embellishments, with plenty of room for your own style. Beginners are welcome, and a materials list will be provided before the session.
Giving Up Driving & Alternative Transport
Explore practical ways to stay connected and independent when reducing or giving up driving. Discuss planning the transition, public and community transport, taxis and rideshare services, and tips for travelling safely.

Care Connections is available exclusively to Homecare My Way customers. Once you become a customer, our team can help you find and register for sessions that interest you. Already a customer? Reach out to us for more information.

You will receive a confirmation email from Zoom. Open that email, click the link and follow the instructions to sign up for an account (it’s free to create an account).
When it’s time for your session, simply open the confirmation email and click the link. From there, you’ll be able to sign into your Zoom account and join the session.

What is Care Connections?
Care Connections is a virtual group activity program that gives our customers an opportunity to connect, participate and enjoy meaningful activities with others from the comfort of home.
Who can join?
The Care Connections program is available to all Homecare My Way customers.
Do I need to be good with technology?
Not at all. Sessions are held online via the Zoom app or zoom.com. Zoom is a free and safe way to attend online events. Our team can help you get signed up if you need assistance.
What can I expect when I join?
You can expect a friendly, welcoming group where you can meet others, learn something new, chat, and take part at your own pace. There’s no pressure to participate in everything; just come along and enjoy being part of the group.
Can I use my Home Care hours to attend?
Eligible participants may be able to use their available Home Care hours to participate in Care Connections. This will depend on your individual package and applicable funding requirements. Contact our team to find out more.
